DALLAS, TX, January 13, 2022 — Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to allow Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers to stand, conservative Republican candidate for Texas Governor Don Huffines called on Greg Abbott to call a fourth special session of the Texas Legislature to protect all Texans from losing their jobs due to vaccine mandates.
Huffines issued the following statement:
“Unfortunately, today’s decision by the U.S. Supreme Court does not ban all vaccine mandates. Joe Biden’s healthcare worker mandate remains in place and private corporations can still implement vaccine mandates.
No Texan should lose their job for refusing to take a vaccine. I am calling on Greg Abbot to immediately call a fourth special session of the Texas Legislature to ban all vaccine mandates and protect the liberties of every Texan.”
Don Huffines is a proud fifth-generation Texan, husband, father, grandfather, and self-made entrepreneur. A committed conservative, Huffines is fighting to safeguard Texans’ elections, phase out property taxes, and secure the border once and for all. Huffines is challenging Gov. Greg Abbott from the right in the Texas Republican primary. Texans deserve leadership. No excuses.
Don Huffines, an actual Republican.
