Hello Patriots,
I promised to make government more efficient, root out waste, and protect your tax dollars, and I’m keeping that promise. We’re also making progress on the border, with Texas securing $7.5 billion in reimbursement for the costs of securing our state.
At the same time, Texas continues to grow, adding 159,000 jobs in August. I’ve also had the opportunity to take this message across Texas, speaking with Patriots in Dallas, Victoria, and Kerrville. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve you and excited to share what we’ve been accomplishing together.
Border Reimbursement
This is step one in making Texas whole. Thanks to President Trump, we finally have a federal government with a responsible border security policy that stopped the flow of illegal aliens into our state. Texas taxpayers were forced to pay the bill because the Biden administration, in cahoots with a cartel-controlled Mexican government, refused to enforce the law and opened our border.
Border security spending is a fraction of what this cost us. Texas has spent tens of billions of dollars, and by some measures far more, educating illegal aliens in government schools, incarcerating them in our jails and prisons, and covering emergency healthcare and birth tourism. That invoice is still outstanding, and I intend to keep an accounting of it.

While there I also discussed how I am rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government and working to return the savings to you through property tax relief.
