I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating the 250th birthday of the greatest country on Earth. I spent it with my family reflecting on the freedoms we've been blessed with and the responsibility we have to preserve them for future generations.
I'm honored that Governor Abbott has appointed me to serve as your Texas Comptroller, effective August 1. Texas spends more than $500 million every day, and I'll bring a private-sector mindset to the public sector to ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely. Every taxpayer is a customer who deserves respect.
Together, we'll DOGE Texas Government, expose waste, protect your hard-earned tax dollars, and remind everyone in Austin that the money belongs to the people, not the government.
