Thank you, Texas!
Don Huffines For Comptroller

In the News: Huffines’ Plan to Put Texans First

This week our campaign received national attention in Bloomberg, and I spoke at the LBJ School of Public Affairs about Texas’ economic future.

I’m running for Comptroller to bring a business mindset to government, expose waste, and make Texas the most affordable place in America to build, hire, and invest.

I also want to wish you a Happy San Jacinto Day and remind you to get out and vote in local elections this week!

Bloomberg Profile

I appreciate Bloomberg for the profile on my campaign. Under a Huffines administration, Texans will have a true watchdog in the Comptroller's office..

Promises Made. Promises WILL Be Kept.

Government is the number one driver of housing and business costs, from sky-high property taxes to California-style regulation and red tape.

As Comptroller, I will expose the policies making the American Dream unaffordable, fight to slash property taxes, and prioritize Texas companies for state contracts, keeping our dollars, jobs, and growth here at home.

I will make Texas affordable for families and the best place in the world to build, hire, and invest.

Promises made.

Promises will be kept.

Happy San Jacinto Day!

Today we remember the courage and sacrifice that secured Texas’ independence at the Battle of San Jacinto.

Just 18 minutes changed the course of history, as the army led by Sam Houston defeated the forces of Santa Anna and secured freedom for the Republic of Texas.

I’m proud to celebrate San Jacinto Day and the Texans who fought for liberty, self-government, and the future of our great state.

Their courage built Texas. It’s our responsibility to protect it.

Live Conversation – Texas Tribune

Great to share and defend our conservative values with the Texas Tribune!

I discussed how I plan to serve Texans as their next Chief Financial Officer.

LBJ School

I joined Evan Smith at the Lyndon B Johnson School of Public Affairs to discuss my business experience and my proven record of fighting for taxpayers. I’ll bring both to the Comptroller’s office and always put Texans first.

Get Out and Vote!

Local elections have a direct impact on your community, from schools and public safety to roads and local taxes.

Make sure to get out and vote!

Texas Automobile Dealers Association

Mary Catherine and I stopped by the Texas Automobile Dealers Association for a quick meeting and had the chance to see the bronze plaque honoring my father, J.L. Huffines, who served as TADA chairman in 2009.

Huffines Automotive Company was founded 101 years ago, in 1924. Texas means business.

For Liberty, Prosperity, and Virtue Always,

Don Huffines

Christian, husband of 38 years, father of 5, grandfather of 12, businessman, former Senator, and Republican Nominee for Comptroller putting Texas first.

TEXAS FIRST

As your Texas Comptroller, I will DOGE our government to improve efficiency and root out waste and fraud. I’ll fight to return the savings to Texas taxpayers.
