Texas spends over $500 million a day, seven days a week. As Comptroller, Don Huffines will DOGE Texas to eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse and save taxpayer money. This means auditing government, exposing waste, and fighting to return the savings and budget surpluses to taxpayers through property tax relief.

Huffines knows that government is the number one driver of housing costs, from sky-high property taxes to California-style regulation and red tape. Don Huffines believes Texas traffic is out of control and that orange construction barrels are starting to be the new state symbol. Huffines will audit contracts to ensure roadways are built on time.

As Comptroller, Don Huffines will manage the new Texas Education Savings Account program, which allows parents to choose the best school for their child. He will ensure it is transparent and empowers parents with no strings attached.

Don Huffines will end corporate welfare and stop government from picking winners and losers. He’ll oppose tax breaks for woke, out-of-state corporations and green energy subsidies that hurt Texas oil, gas, and small businesses.
