Texas Public Policy Foundation Policy Summit
Mary Catherine, our core team, and I had an incredibly informative time at the 2026 Texas Public Policy Foundation Policy Summit, an event we are proud to sponsor each year. TPPF continues to do an outstanding job educating lawmakers and Texans on a simple but powerful principle: more freedom, less government.
One of the key topics this year was Texas’ historic new education freedom program. Governor Greg Abbott was recognized for his leadership in getting this across the finish line. Prior to his remarks, we heard from Stacy Hock, my good friend Doug Deason, and Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott, all highlighting the importance of this moment for our state.
In the latest GOP Primary, Texans made it clear they want my leadership to advance education freedom and take it to a new level as Texas Comptroller, the office responsible for overseeing and implementing this school choice program. President Trump agreed and endorsed my campaign, saying, “DON HUFFINES WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN.”
Texas’ best days are ahead. We are on the brink of major, positive changes for liberty, prosperity, and virtue.
